Brunswick County Schools

November 4, 2015 by admin Leave a Comment

The Brunswick County school District is located in Bolivia North Carolina just north of Oak Island and St. James. The campus it’s just off of Old Ocean Highway south of Highway 17. The Brunswick County Board of Education offers improved academic achievement helping every student to reach their goals as well as the goals of parents, staff members and teachers. They provide high-quality education for each student. The goal is for every student to graduate prepared to lead productive lives in society. There are a total of 19 schools, 10 elementary schools, five middle schools, and five high schools.Brunswick County Schools

Great schools.org gives the Brunswick County schools a 5 out of 10 overall rating based on school test results. The highest schools were the Brunswick County early College high school receiving a 9 out of 10 and the Union Elementary receiving a 8 out of 10. The Bolivia and Shallotte middle school received a 7 and the Southport, Waccamaw, West Brunswick and South Brunswick all received a 6. The majority of schools received either a 4 or 5.

Surprisingly Supply elementary got one of the lowest reviews ever at 3 however, according to great schools.org, has some pretty positive reviews. Many people feel that the entire staff make it obvious the children are the first priority. Other people feel that the “principal and staff care greatly for the students in the education that they receive.” “I think that this is the best school that my son could be a. He loves going to Supply.”

It really comes down to the teacher and the investment that the staff and faculty are willing to put into each student. The very best school could have a terrible teacher and the very lowest ranking school could have an excellent teacher. However, many people choose homes throughout Brunswick County based on the schools and the reviews. The majority of schools are nestled along Highway 17 from calabash North to Wilmington. There are several down by Southport along Highway 87 as well.

Brunswick County SchoolsThe Brunswick County school District has numerous divisions including finance and business, English as a second language, migrant services, technology services, media and instructional services, school counseling and testing and assessment. Their emphasis is on child nutrition, academic excellence and establishing great partnership with parents and teachers alike.

For more information on the Brunswick County schools or to find a home within a particular school boundary please contact me today. I would be happy to send you a customized list of all properties that meet your search criteria and price within the boundaries of a specific elementary, middle or high school.

Town Park occupies 1200 feet of Intracoastal Waterway and Mary’s Creek waterfront with 5.2 acres of total land. Need a more active way to relax? There is plenty of space to play a game of catch, football,or Frisbee under the shade of the preserved original tall oaks.

There are two loop walking tracks that wind through this beautiful stretch of land for park goers to enjoy a stroll through the trees and along the waterfront. 4 loops around the short loop make a mile and 3.5 around the long loop make a mile.

One of the most popular features of the new park is the public boat ramp and fishing pier. Fishing boats, kayakers, canoes, anglers and people just strolling the pier are a frequent sight here. The park is still in development and will be adding more pier fishing spots and overlooks to give more access to the waterway.

“Life will lead you to where you belong. Five years ago life led me to meeting Karen Baker at an Open House. Our relationship continues as Karen and her husband Frank have been outstanding not only in helping my husband and I find the right retirement relocation home, but we have watched their commitment in helping many others find their homes. She and Frank treat every client as if they are the only ones that exist. They provide thorough research of areas and homes of interest and present you with the options. They are not your typical hard sell, must-buy-now realtors. They are here to help you find your next home?. You won’t go wrong with the Bakers!

“The Bakers treated us like family during our whirlwind weekend of looking at houses. Prior to our on-site visit to Sunset Beach they created a portal and populated it with properties that met our ever-evolving criteria. By time we arrived we had a good feel for what we could afford and what was available that met our criteria. The Bakers, especially Karen, were able to make sense of what we thought we were looking for and eventually matched us with a house that we ended up purchasing — Karen called it the “This is it” house and she was right. We are loving our 2nd home and appreciate how painless Karen and Frank made the process. All the paperwork was done seamlessly and quickly and the closing went off without a hitch. The Bakers do not believe in the hard sell — they gave us the knowledge we needed and the guidance we needed to make our dream a reality.”

Amy and I have bought and sold four properties in the past twelve years. Both of you are the best realtors we have ever dealt with. Amy and I both felt we could trust you to look out for our interest. The level of service you provided was outstanding, from taking the trash out, helping the buyer with inspecting the irrigation system, dealing with our tenants, always being there if we needed to ask a question, providing constant updates on the market and always keeping us informed on the sale of our house. I think your next venture should be training other realtors, because both of you have mastered the art of providing excellent service. I will be sure to recommend the Frank and Karen team to anybody looking for a trust worthy, knowledgeable and top performing realtor. It was a pleasure working with both of you.”
